Saturday night date night

Dates with just me and the hubs are much needed now days. Our goal is to one day be able to have a date night alone every week, but until Owen is a bit more grown up, we will take what opportunities we can. This past Saturday we took Owen to his grandma and grandpas for a good time while we went out. Gabe and I are always so amazed at how calm he seems when we go to pick him up. He must know to be on his best behavior and he always has a good time with them. Saturday was our belated Valentines Day date.

One of Gabe's favorite food genres is BBQ. I however, am not a big fan. But we decided it was time for a change, so we ended up eating at Goodwood. We ate lots of food until out belly's were packed full and as always, had a good time just sitting down and talking about our hopes for the future. After dinner we went to Boondocks arcade. If our house was decked out like a gigantic arcade, Gabe would be in heaven - it's one of his favorite activities. He is really good at racking in the tickets and always does much better than me. Boondocks wasn't too busy that night, and we were able to take some pictures of our night. It's nice to just play and act like a kid every once in a while! For our prizes, we traded in our tickets for a toy ring, some funky glasses and a big red bouncy ball. Owen was excited about that one - although he has a love/hate relationship with it. He love to sit nearby and hit it, but for some reason he gets mad at it after a while and freaks out.
