We are almost there!
We are finally almost to Canada and so excited about it. We have had such a fun time road tripping and Im so excited to post pictures of everything that we've done so far. We got tired of sleeping in the car so we stopped at a super 8 motel for the night. I'm typing this on my iPod cause the laptop isnt working. And just so you know it's not very easy to do... So keep watching I'll post our pictures and stories asap. Time to finally get some rest!

"Oh Canada!!"
For those of you that don't know, me and Gabe are moving to Canada for the summer! Gabe was a first year technician with Pinnacle Security last summer, and he did so well that they made him a manager this year. We ended up getting a really good office up in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I didn't know where that was at, so I'm assuming that you don't either.. It is right above the border of North Dakota and Minnesota. A 24 hour drive, yikes! We both like road trips, so I think we'll survive just fine. We are thinking that we will stop by Mount Rushmore and check that out on our way up. But, we found out some pretty crazy news today. It's about a week before we leave, and they told us that we probably won't be able to go through the border at the same time. WHAT?!? Crazy huh? That was exactly my thinking when I found out. They are really picky about letting married couples in. Supposedly its because they have a really good health care system up there and they don't want us darn Americans taking advantage of them. So..... we have to find a way that I can get into Canada without flying. AND we only have one car. It's quite the road block right now.
Aside from all of the hectic-ness, we are both excited to be going out for the summer. I think it will be a fun adventure starting out as newlyweds. Gabe is a really hard worker and I really hope it works out for us. I will post pictures of our adventures while we're away, that's one of the main reasons that I started this blog. So that everyone could keep in touch :)
Less then a week left at work, and we're moving of our apartment in a week from today. We're so glad to be moving out of our apartment. Hopefully we'll be able to move into a place that we like when we get back home. What a fun part of life!

Here goes the 1st post...
So I am pretty excited to be starting a blog and sharing it with everyone. Its a Saturday so I have been sitting in bed most of the day looking at cute blog backgrounds that I can use.
I wanted to share with everyone "The story of me and Gabe."
We grew up living in the same neighborhood in Riverton, Utah. They changed ward boundaries when I was about 14 and our family moved into the ward that Gabe was in. I wasn't very happy when we switched wards, but it all worked out for the best :) Several years later, Gabe served his mission in Washington, D.C. and when he got back he looked me up on facebook. Although I was dating someone at the time, we sent messages back and forth on facebook and about 2 months later ending up going out on a date.. which led to several more. During the summer he went to work in Chicago as a security technician for Pinnacle Security. It was pretty hard for both of us, but I flew out to see him a couple times and we made it through the summer. Obviously.
We dated for a few months after he got back and it was a no brainer to both of us that we wanted to get married. Gabe proposed on September 17th and we had a lot of fun planning the wedding. It was really laid back planning.. I even made my wedding bouquet the night before we got married! We got married in between semesters of school on December 22, 2009 and have been renting out an apartment in Springville. The wedding day was wonderful, and much anticipated. Everything went smoothly.. it was a happy, fun day. That night at our reception the weather decided to dump a bunch of snow on us and we had what seemed like the biggest snow storm of the season. But lucky us! We went on our honeymoon to Scottsdale Arizona where it was nice and warm.
I'm excited to have new in-laws and to have the greatest husband there is, life is pretty great!! I am really really blessed.
Here are a couple pictures of our awesome wedding day and a few of our honeymoon:

Enjoy!
